The Atlantic Veterinary Hospital [Hospital Veterinário do Atlântico (HVA) in Portuguese] is located at Mafra, 30 minutes from Lisbon, with excellent access. It has a multidisciplinary team of veterinary doctors and nurses with extensive experience working in a hospital environment. The HVA is a modern organisation, with a maturity of 7 years, created in accordance with the best practices of the veterinary services in the private sector, aiming to offer a medical and veterinary service of excellence using the most recent means of diagnosis and an experienced team, motivated and highly dedicated. The HVA is equipped with the most advanced technologies and brings together a dynamic team with specialized training. It is fully provided to offer independent intensive care and inpatient facilities according to the species. The objective is to meet all medical needs with regard to animal health care, promoting well-being and following the evolution and the demand of the market.

Graduated in the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), Vila Real, Portugal. Founder of the Hospital Veterinário do Baixo Vouga, Agueda. Cluster Coordinator and Secretary of the Onevetgroup center region (2015-2018). President of the central regional section of the Portuguese Association of Veterinarians (APMVEAC) (2012-2015). Collaborating member of CECAV – Animal and Veterinary Research Center. Currently Director of Hospital Veterinário do Atlântico and vice-president of the board of the Veterinary Portuguese Order.

Graduated in the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (UTAD), Vila Real, Portugal. Post-graduation in Internal Medicine in Lusofona University and Internal Medicine Program da European School for Advanced Veterinary Studies. Co-Founder of 3 veterinary structures – Breed, Ida e Santo Ovídio, in the North of Portugal. Currently Manager of Hospital Veterinário do Atlântico.

Graduated in the University of Lisbon, Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária (FMV-UL), Portugal. Working as a veterinary doctor, since 2017, at the Hospital Veterinário do Atlântico. Attending a surgery course from Improve International “General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Surgery”. And attending the Master of Business Administration (IBS-ISCTE) since 2020.

I have an Integrated Master in Veterinary Medicine from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies of Lisbon, in 2012. I did my Internship at Restelo´s Veterinary Hospital. Moreover, I have attended an advanced course in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in pets by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies of Lisbon. Later on, in 2012, I completed my post-graduation in Internal Medicine in Companion Animals by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies of Lisbon, in 2012. I was a member of the clinical staff of the Atlantic´s Veterinary Hospital from 2013 to 2017. Between 2017 and 2018 I was part of the clinical team at Restelo´s Veterinary Hospital, as one of the doctors responsible for the hospitalization. Additionally, I am a founding partner of the UpdateVet project, services and veterinary training, since 2019. Since October 2018 I have been part of the clinical staff of the Atlantic´s Veterinary Hospital. Also, I have participated in congresses and training activities in the field of veterinary medicine for pets. My main areas of interest are Internal Medicine, Imaging, Endocrinology and Soft Tissue Surgery.

Masters Degree in Veterinary Medicine (graduated in 2016 – University of Lisbon, Faculdade de Medicina Veterinária). Working as a Veterinarian Doctor since 2016. Postgraduate studies in Small Animal Ophthalmology (Improve International). Attending an “Emergency and Critical Care” intensive course from Improve International. Currently working in Hospital Veterinário do Atlântico.
