Since 2012, Experimental Primary School has developed and implemented a set of innovative activities in the subject areas suggested by the Greek Ministry of Education, enriching their curricula and using the legislative provisions for Experimental Primary Schools within the framework of Innovation and Creativity Clubs. These activities focus on the fields of Educational Robotics, Science and Technology (Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Engineering, Computing, Computational Thinking), but also on history, language, culture and the arts. They are organized on the basis of the annual planning of the educational project and implemented on the basis of the knowledge and skills of the teaching staff as well as the directions of the Scientific Supervisory Board, which consists of academic experts of the UOWM.

Konstantinos Sechidis is a primary school teacher and has been working in Experimental School of Florina since 2013. The last 6 years he is the Principal of the school. He has Master degree in the field of Humanitarian Studies (History of Education).He has designed and been involved in many innovative school practices. He has published articles in collective volumes, scientific journals, and conference proceedings.
Anastasia Kappatou has been a school teacher for almost 20 years. She has been working in the Experimental School of Florina since 2013. During the last 2 years she is also the Deputy director of the school. She has a master degree and a Ph.D. in the field of Sociolinguistics. During her career she has designed and been involved in many innovative school practices regarding critical thinking as a teaching strategy, which has been highlighted in local and international conferences. Her interests focus on combining art in the curriculum and the school practice. She is also an amateur actress.
Kyriaki Amarantidou is a primary school teacher and has been working in experimental schools since 2011. She has designed and implemented various language thematic evening clubs (Critical Literacy, Creative Writing, Multiliteracies and Creativity). She has published articles in collective volumes, scientific journals, and conference proceedings. She is a PhD student and her research interests focus on the fields of Language Teaching, Critical Literacy, Multiliteracies, Creative Writing, History Education, Intercultural Education, Modern History, Innovations in Education, Contemporary Teaching Practices.
Ioannis Arvanitakis is a Computer Science teacher and he has been working in the school since 2013, designing, organizing and teaching at the educational robotics clubs.He is also a Ph.D. student and his main interest is Design Thinking strategies in the context of STEAM – educational robotics.
Vasiliki Antonogianni is a school teacher. She has 20 years of experience in teaching in primary education. She has been working in Experimental Elementary Schools since 2011. Her postgraduate studies are in School Pedagogy and New Technologies. She has organized and taught at language clubs, emphasizing Critical Thinking Skills through fairy tales and Greek literature.
Dimitris Doukas is a school teacher in the Experimental School of Florina. He has been working in this position for more than 5 years. He has a Master in Pedagogy and ICT and his interests are on exploitation of internet and ICT in educational practice, asynchronous distance learning methods and management in education.
